The Cohort Trilogy, meet Ms. Vee Reenay…

Hi friends and fam,

I trust you all had a memorable holiday season.

Since we’re here and moving forward in this New Year that we’ve been blessed to see, let’s again jump right in. I believe I informed you, concerning The Cohort Trilogy, that Book I and Book II will be re-released with new ISBN numbers, new covers, and updated content.
I like that! As the time nears I will remind you. Now back to us discussing  the characters in The Cohort Trilogy - Book I, Absolution.

I told you a bit about Beau, our gay male lead, and I mentioned his mothering cousin, also in the book. Today I want to introduce you to one of Beau’s female roommates, Valeria René.

An IndiAfricAmerican woman, often she refers to herself as Ms.Vee Reenay. The first to admit that with her changeable honey-hued eyes she is a multiplicity of things and ethnicities, Beau’s roommate is a lovely milk chocolate color. She is rather thin, he thinks, for a sista, but in Hollywood where he’d like to work, or even in Bollywood, he believes she’d be perfect—if she were an actress. Yes, because she is top-heavy. But what Beau recognizes most about his roommate is that she possesses the most incredible and magnetic inner beauty. Thus, you the reader, get to see Beau wondering about her relationship status. He does so because Ms. Vee Reenay is heterosexual, and because ‘they’ seemingly don’t have to overcome the same hurdles as same-sex partners…

Well, you know the drill. Tune in next time because I’ve got to run. I look forward to seeing you in about a week and a half, when we’ll have another little chat.

Until then though, make it good.

April
