Thank You!

Hi fam,

You all know that lately, I've been chatting with you about the characters in my Cohort Trilogy. I know you were probably expecting that this time, but not today. I will get back to it though. However, my darlings I wanted to say thank you.

I truly thank all of you who are making my giveaways successful. I mean we ended last year and started this year, both with a bang! I'd like to thank all the bloggers who have shown a sista much love. I couldn't ask for more. I mean the sweetness is just pouring in from every place on the globe. Silvy, in Greece, it has been my pleasure to make your cyber acquaintance. Books and Beyond, Sweet N Sensible, and Pragya in India, and my dear, dear friend and fellow author, the incomparable Tamela Quijas, I am so appreciative of you and how you bring authors and readers together. I could mention others, but we don't have time or the space, so just know that I am grateful everyone!

To all the readers, and the savvy mamas who tell me they just want a whole day, or two, to devour my books at one time, I am thrilled. I know life keeps happening, the kids need to be chaperoned, dinner needs to be cooked, and that dang laundry forever piles up! (ha-ha)Still, I hear you, and it is for you that I write. All of you who make me smile when you tweet or email; you keep me remembering why I love what I do.

I'll tell you something. When I was a teenager, I read so much until I'd gotten to a point, I felt, where I might run out of interesting things to read. Nowadays, that is not the case. Like myself, there are so many great authors out there! How do I know? ...Because I too read, in my down-time. Granted, I don't get much of it, but I love to read. I even have favorite authors. The list is ever changing, but like you, I have my go-to’s--like Susan Wiggs and Jodi Thomas. I love Maeve Binchy, Rochelle Alers, and Maya Angelou. I'm a Barbara Taylor Bradford, Bebe Moore Campbell, and StephanieMeyers’ fan.

So you see, when you all tell me the many fabulous things that you do about my books, when you post those things, and when you re-tweet or recommend me to others, when you go to my website, or read this blog, I feel on top of the world! I feel like I'm one of the authors whom I adore. Thus, again I thank you. I promise you too, I will continue to keep you in mind as I write. I will never forget that you simply want fab tales with twists and turns.

I've got to go; said a mouthful already--you'd think I was writing a book here... LOL  ...but one more thing. I'm working on Books 2 and 3 in The Sea Isles Series, and they are surreal! I'm also working on another book about the sexy doctor you glimpsed in Book 1, my mysterious thriller Exodus. Now that should be a shocker, and I've begun assembling a book about the church. Y'all know I was a PK, a preacher's kid, so...soon. I won’t hold anything back.

Until we meet again, as always, be blessed! Oh and read this on your mobile device! www.m.aprilalisamarquette.com
