Walk With Me

Spring has arrived and summer will soon be here. Now  it seems there's a mad dash to appear and feel fit. Still, if you’re like me, you don’t want to exert too much energy. You don't want to jump around, take a class with smelly strangers, or struggle with some massive machine. Some of us are just more laid back when it comes to exercise --but that doesn't mean we don't want the benefits. Therefore, why not try something simple yet effective?  Why notwalk?

Sure, you've heard it before, but I will say it again.

A few thoughts on 'Idol'

While watching American Idol last night I had a few thoughts. I figured why not share them with you? Perhaps you’ll find that you feel similar. I feel like the judges found some great musical talent this season. Yet the judging sometimes leaves me baffled.

Case and point: singer songwriter Mariah Carey is supposed to be a judge, yet she seems to have the hardest time offering contestants constructive criticism. Personally, I am a huge fan of hers -- been one for decades. However, I thought she was going to bring something to this season of Idol.

Got a sista hooked...on 666 --The Ave.

Hello friends and fam,

It’s been a while. I trust you all got through the Thanksgiving holiday okay. Myself? I began the day thinking of all the many wonderful things I have to be thankful for. A few of them are: my friends – I’ve got the greatest; my family – my mom is in her seventies and yet she’s as sharp as ever. She moves a little slower, but that just causes us to have to slow down to enjoy her. I am also grateful for readers – you in particular. There are other things. Indeed my list is long, but I’m sure yours is too.

I'm Loving 'Once Upon A Time'

Due to Hurricane Sandy, I've been keeping an eye on my friends and family who live on the East Coast. Sandy, one of the largest and most menacing storms seen there in a little while, has caused widespread flooding, power outages, and untold damage. Now they've got snow! My peops tell me they're still having a hard time even gettinggasfor their cars --something many of us take for granted. Thus I wanted to say my prayers and thoughts are with them.Call you today, Ma

Keepin' it short & sweet

Hi friends and fam. Today I'm going to keep things short and sweet. Why? ...Because I'm swamped! That is the truth! I have so much going on, some of it I will tell you about, in bits and pieces. I can't complain though, because I'd much rather be busy than not. What I will tell you right now is that I had my family in for a visit and it was the best. I believe as I get older, the more I cherish the moments spent with those I love.

I also wanted to let you know that I am working on a book--not one that I authored this time, but one by a most interesting woman.

Agatha Raisin & The Haunted House

Hello friends and family. I know I've been unplugged for a while. Got a few projects going, so those have been monopolizing my time. Since the summer is a great time to read and laze about when one gets the chance, I've also tried to do just that. I've even read a few books that I'd like to tell you about.

Today, we'll speak of M.C. Beaton's'Agatha Raisin & The Haunted House.' I have to tell you I am hooked! I love this book. Well, I'm listening to the audio, but same thing.

...Fifteen months after his father’s death, Elijah Moon proposed, to her. That had been back in1967.

It had not been romantic, as she had previously believed a proposal should be. Nevertheless, she’d guessed, it was the best she was going to get, under the circumstances…

Meet Angelica Dawson, a fellow blogger and more...

Today, friends and fam, we have company! I told you that you would meet her… She is a wife, a mother, an erotica & romance author, as well as a blogger; please meet Angelica Dawson.

Hello! April was kind enough to invite me onto her blog to share a little bit about mine. Specifically, what I've learned from all the bloggers I've interviewed! It's a long list, so strap in and let's get started...

We're going to have company!

Hi friends and fam,

I must apologize to you for not being here for a while. I needed a break, I just needed to lie on the beach and become restored. You know how it is. We do so many things, and we try to make so many other things happen until sometimes we really don’t give ourselves a chance to power up again. Sure, we charge our phones, laptops and other electronics, but how often do we do allow ourselves to re-charge? Therefore, I had to do so by unplugging for a while. Now I’m back and ready to go.

For Mothers Everywhere

Hi friends and fam,

Today, I’d like to wish all the mothers, and those who will soon become mothers a lovely Mother’s Day. As I was thinking about this special holiday, I couldn’t help but think about my own mom. Thinking about her caused me to think about other moms, and about a friend of mine who will soon again become a mom. Mothers, if they are anything like mine, are so precious—even those who have passed on. For my own mom, I truly thank God each day. I am overjoyed that she is yet here.
